On June 8, 2016, ComplyAssistant CEO Gerry Blass, will be moderating a Cybersecurity Vendor Panel discussion at an upcoming New Jersey HIMSS Event: “Leveraging Technology for Transitions of Care” in New Brunswick, NJ.

The discussion will focus on Cybersecurity from the standpoint of emerging technologies that support transitions of care, with a focus on threats and vulnerabilities that increase risk of unauthorized access to identifiable health information, along with information security controls that are necessary to reduce risk. Some high level areas that the panel will explore include why healthcare has been the # 1 target for recent cyber attacks, the most popular being ransomware, and how has this scenario has evolved over time. Knowing the root cause is key to understand what controls and solutions are required to minimize risk. The expert panelists will explore how information security controls can be a proactive enabler of emerging technologies instead of a reactive fire drill to mitigate a breach. The panel is comprised of subject matter experts from government, legal, and a healthcare provider. Each panelist will provide valuable insight from their unique perspectives which will result in a diverse, practical and educational session.
