A.  COS is developed in ASP.NET on the front end and SQL Server on the backend.

A. Yes, you can choose to implement COS on your network and access it via your intranet. You can also choose to   access COS on the internet via a secure remote web host

Q. What functions are automated by COS?

 A. COS automates the management and documentation of enterprise assessments (surveys and tests), education, implementation, audit, issues, incidents and complaints, gap analysis, risk assessment, and mitigation planning and tracking.

Q. What size organization can use COS?

A. The simple answer is "any size". The "hierarchy" functionality is flexible and allows you to define your organizational chart. From that point on you can assign and management compliance activities according to your hierarchy levels and resources.

Q. What compliance rules are automated in COS?

A. Again, there is a simple answer is, which is "any and all". There is no limit to the number of compliance rules that COS can automate. Each compliance rule is a "plug in" to COS. We currently have a number of pre-defined content in our rules library, such as OIG Federal Healthcare Compliance, HIPAA privacy and security, SOX 440, JCAHO, FISMA, FIPS, GLBA.. Our content was developed via relationships with content experts and by going directly to the source of the rule such as the Federal Register. We also reference guidance checklists provided by related organizations such as the HFMA. You can choose to use pre-defined content provided by us or from your own sources. We continue to add rules and content to our library via our relationships with providers of compliance content and internally by going directly to the source of the rule content.
